Every plan is built around routine prevention. The number of examinations and hygiene visits depends on the membership you choose.
Dental health examinations
Thorough assessments for optimal oral health, x-rays when necessary, and regular clinical checks for early oral cancer detection. Examinations are included on the three Core plans. The Hygiene plan does not include examinations.
Hygiene appointments
Routine plaque removal, expert advice to prevent decay and gum disease, fresher breath, and a brighter smile for improved self-esteem. Every plan includes hygiene visits. Advanced includes four a year.
Global Dental A & E Scheme enrolment
This discretionary scheme provides patients with dental care or treatment assistance in the event of a dental accident or emergency. Members can request help from the scheme. It is not a promise of a particular payout.

Examinations include a thorough oral health assessment. Where a plan includes routine x-rays, they are taken when necessary. Hygiene visits cover routine plaque removal and prevention advice. Treatment outside the plan allowances, including fillings and other routine dentistry, is charged at member fees with the 10% discount.

Global Dental A & E Scheme
When you join a Purple Dental Care membership you are enrolled in the Global Dental A & E Scheme. This discretionary scheme provides patients with dental care or treatment assistance in the event of a dental accident or emergency.
You can request help from the scheme. It sits alongside your routine examinations and hygiene visits at the practice. It does not replace a check-up, and it does not guarantee a specific payment. Terms and conditions apply.

You can sign up for one of our memberships by contacting our friendly reception team in person or by phone. Please speak to a member of the team, or send an enquiry below, if you would like more information.

Book examinations and hygiene appointments as your plan allows. You can book an appointment online once you are a patient, or call the practice.

Essentials includes 1 examination and 1 hygiene appointment a year. Maintenance includes 2 examinations and 2 hygiene appointments. Advanced includes 2 examinations and 4 hygiene appointments. The Hygiene plan includes 2 hygiene appointments and does not include examinations. Routine x-rays are included on Essentials, Maintenance and Advanced, and are not included on the Hygiene plan.
